Didn’t leave Batemans Bay until about 10.00am. Wasn’t in too much of a hurry as we woke to such a beautiful day. We have SUN not a cloud to be seen. Great, but unfortunately we are travelling most of the day on and off in the car. But we did enjoy the weather when we had a few stops on the way, no rain.!😎. We travelled up to Bulli Beach for two nights and hoping to slow down a bit and enjoy the two days without rushing around. We are now only 74km south of Sydney and 10kms north of Wollongong. We won’t be going into Sydney when we leave here as we will be going inland through to the Blue Mountains. When we left camp this morning we went to Coles Supermarket before we left Batemans Bay. Hence not getting away early. After travelling north 54kms we stopped at Ulladulla to have a look around this attractive town. Every house had beautifully manicured gardens and the area was clean and tidy. After here we went to the next bay Mollymook. They say this is one of the best beaches down this coast but I think the whole coastline has many good beaches combined with very rugged wild coastlines in between. We final arrived at camp about 2.30pm.

We woke up to this blue sky can’t believe it as we have had a lot of rain along the way with a great mixture of sun and wind. This is looking out from our balcony over to Batemans Bay township.
Still from our cabin looking up river to the bridge.
This is the set up when staying in these cabins. You can always park right next to them. Good for unloading . We have a system that our two suitcases stay in the car and we just take inside what clothes we need for the time of stay. 1,2 or 3 nights. Saves us lifting cases in and out of the car. So we have four supermarket shopping bags that we have our food and other essentials in and that’s all we have to take out of the car at each stay, including our little car fridge. It works well. So you could say we are partly living from the back of the car. But it works.
When we left this morning we drove a little way down river to get a photo nearer the river mouth.
Still looking down river .
On our way across the bridge to do our shopping.
From under the bridge looking across to town and down river.
PT was pointed to under the bridge and there was some so called street art.
Now across the river opposite camp. Looking down river to the river entrance.
We finally got away from Batemans Bay and stopped at Ulladulla. We drove straight out to see the Warden Head Lighthouse which sits on one of two Ulladulla headlands. Coastal shipping was the lifeblood of small towns such as Ulladulla with dozens of shipwrecks driven onto reefs as the ships tried to enter the harbour.
In 1890s a cottage was build next to the lighthouse for the lighthouse keeper. Which is no longer there. You can still see the dome of the original water tank.
The wild seas behind the lighthouse taken from the lookout stand.
Walking back to the car this Kookaburra just sat on this sign and looked down at me. All the Aussie wildlife seem very tame. You can usually walk really close to them.
Another shot further along the headland.
A Little Bay next to the Boat Harbour.
Ulladulla town centre looks over the harbour which is between two headlands. Coastline around Ulladulla consists of stretchers of Sandy sheltered bays and rocky coastlines and great views over the Pacific ocean. It had a very busy boat harbour bringing in their daily catch.
We have now gone over to the beach of Mollymook a few kms up the coast. What a well planned area with walkways along the beach and the whole area was just so tidy. Everyone here enjoying a lunch looking over the beach.
Looking south along the beach.
Looking north. Fantastic beach.
Finally arrived at Bulli Beach Holiday park. Cabin tealy nice modern, spacious and immaculate presentation. It’s got two bedrooms.
Nice kitchen has everything you need.
We now have bunnies around us.
Lots of bird life flying up on our balcony ad soon as we go outside being very hopeful they might get a feed.
Look at this beauty just sat there while I went up to take a photo. As I said before they are all so tame.
As the sun was going down behind us it was shinning over us onto the clouds out east over the water. Big ship coming in must be going into Wollongong.
Forgot to take a photo of outside so went out in the dark, put the outside lights on and took some. Will get a daylight one tomorrow.
At the end of the deck is a BBQ and outside kitchen sink.
We look out over the ocean from the deck. Although the trees need a good cut in front, then we would see more water.
Lovely cabin.
