It’s been a nice break here at Bulli beach, superb cabin, and superb weather. We had a quiet afternoon yesterday and today we did a big morning walk along the beach front walkway path to get a feel of the area and to enjoy the beautiful day. Back in shorts and T shirts which make you feel you are on holiday. Went back to our cabin for coffee and lunch the after a couple of hours went for a short drive to cross the Sea Cliff Bridge. It had obviously opened up the through access for the locals right round the shore line. Once over the bridge we turned round and went back again. That drive was a total of 32kms return. Then back to camp and just relaxed. So you can see a nice relaxing time at Bulli beach. We love the area and would be great to come back sometime but I guess that won’t happen. As we are just 74kms south of Sydney it would be a great place for a holiday home from Sydney. Although it all looked like permanent homes. Lovely area.

Bulli Beach, 3rd May,2025
Each morning when I open the ranchslider these guys are waiting for us to come out.
Daytime photo really lovely inside.
This is the waterfront walk in front of camp. It seems to go for miles both north and south. Camp cabins on left.
Our friend came over and sat on our railing with a crust of bread. He held it between his claws and held it up and kept pecking at it.
Walking access to the beach in front of us.
We took off walking along the walkway to see the area around us, very pleasant.
We walked south for about 1km out to the point between two beaches, to watch the waves crashing in over the rocks. Fascinating just watching as every wave performed differently each time. Some small and some big.
Also looking over the salt pool. Which gets washed out everytime the tide comes in. When the tide goes out the pool remains full. They can control the water and can empty the whole pool when necessary to be cleaned out. Great idea along these rugged coastlines with big waves coming in. To make a save place for kids to swim and probably mainly for people to do lengths for training. You see this a lot along these rugged coasts. All along the coast we have travelled had beautiful beaches but rugged coast line between beaches and bays. All very expose to the open seas.
Bulli Beach looking North of the point. The beach in front of our camp.
Winona beach looking south of the point
Now returning back along the path to our cabin to have a coffee
After coffee we continued our walk going north to the next point called Waniora Point beach looking north
At the tip of the Waniora point looking down over another Salt Pool.
Above and below looking South.
Then walked back for lunch.
After lunch we went for a 32km return drive out to Sea Cliff Bridge built in 2005 to join up an area of coast where there wasn’t room for any roading. The next two photos I had to get from Images to show what the bridge looks like as my photos can’t capture this driving over it.
Back to my photos heading north.
Once over the bridge we turned around and came back again.
Half way across the they had a lookout on the side of the bridge but as you couldn’t stop on the bridge they built a walking path beside it just to the lookout. So PT sat in the car as parking was hard while I took off along the path access to take this photo.
Can’t see much with the railing. We were shaded by the height of the hills along the side of the bridge.
One more point to go out to Bulli Point(Sandon Point) further north from Waniora point where we walked to this morning.
Left of the point we watched the surfers enjoying their Saturday. Some were surfing as much as easily 300 metres.
Looking right over Sandon Point Beach.
Late this arvo had my lady walk down on Bulli beach just in front of our campsite.
Yesterday I was explaining how we are travelling leaving our suitcases in the hatch back in the car and just taking what we need for the time of stay. This shows how little we carry into the cabins each time we arrive. Four little bags and our little car Fridge. It just makes it a lot easier for handling.
