Bulli Beach to Katoomba, Blue Mountains. 4th May, 2025,

The blue skies are still with us when we woke this morning. Left Bulli Beach at 8.25am and headed inland for Katoomba Blue Mountains.  Fortunately  it remained clear all day. First we stopped at Wentworth to look at the Wentworth Falls  Then on to Katoomba. Too early to check in so we went over to Echo Point to see the famous Three Sisters. We could only have an hour there as that’s all the parking metres would allow. We think this was, as there were just so many people trying to see the three sisters they had to keep the parking bays turning over every hour. Also the meter coast $12 per hour!!! By now we rang the Katoomba Tourist Park to see if our Cabin was ready. It was so good we got in an hour earlier as usually check in time is 2.00pm. Just dropped everything inside and took off to have a walk down to Katoomba falls and the track was just opposite the camp so hence didn’t have to take the car. We walked along the cliff top walking track to see the Katoomba  falls and a few other lookouts along the way. After walking down to the bottom of the falls, we decided that’s all the energy we had for today. Then walked back to camp to settle in. The cabin is a little smaller but does the trick. We are here for three nights to explore this wonderful area. I haven’t mentioned this time  that you can tap the photos to make then bigger. For those that don’t know.

Stopped at Wentworth Falls before we arrived at Katoomba. Our first glimps of the Blue Mountains.

First lookout from a distance of the Wentworth Falls. Bit hard to see as they were  half in the shade.

Got a closer look here further along the walking track. The water cascades down a sheerface dropping over 180m ,Not a lot of water but would be amazing  in the wet season.

When we arrived at Katoomba it was way too early to check in so we went out to Echo Point to see the formation of what is well known as the Three Sisters. What great weather we have had over the last few days.  Look at that magnificent views. The drop is very steep into the Valley which I can’t capture on photo.

The Three Sisters are sitting above a very deep
Valley.

The view down through the Valley. You can see the valley below the three sisters (bottom left corner of photo.)

Taken at a different angle at another lookout.

After we settle in camp we took off again and only had to cross the road to do part of the Cliff Top Walking track to see the Katoomba Falls.

We passed several  different lookouts before we reached the falls. Just stunning.

We looked up and without realising we were under the Skyway Cable Car from Scenic World. Going across from one point to another. They were so high up over this deep valley. I can’t get PT out to go on that but when I looked up and took zoomed in photo I couldn’t believe how so many people were Jammed in to this space. It would be so crowed I reckon  we would see more of the views from the Cliff  Top

It would be so crowded, I reckon that we would see just  as much of the valley below from where I am standing on the Cliff Top Walking Track.

Now at the Katoomba Falls Lookout.

We walked further along the path to the cascade at the top of the Katoomba falls.

As we left one more lookout. It was all very enjoyable. As we are having three nights here we have two more full days to explore this magic  area. There is possible cloud cover tomorrow but clear skies again on Tuesday. So we will see how good the forecasters are. PT says it is 10 degrees now outside and will be going down lower tonight.  . But I quest we are in the mountains and have to expect it.

Woke up to fine weather after  all the rain we had yesterday. The sun was barely up and PT said let’s go and see the area while it is fine....
